Use Software Update Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu , then click Software Update to check for updates. If any updates are available, click the Update Now button to install them. Or click 'More info' to see details about each update and select specific updates to install. Open your applications folder and look for iMovie 9.0.9. If you have it then create a folder in applications, name it iMovie 9.0.9 and drag the iMovie 9.0.9 into it. Then search the applications folder for iMovie. If it is there drag it to the trash and go to the App Store.
